What drives me to blog?
I've had a few people ask me what motivates me to blog. Well, the reason is both easy and complex to answer. The easy answer would be "Cause I have an opinion and everybody else does". And of course, there's the patented answer: "Because I can".
My interests are broad and very diverse, and I like to move between different topics; I don't like to nail myself down and niche myself into some particular speciality.
The more complex and philosophical answer is that I see blogging as a channel to get ones opinion out to the masses; it's a way for one person to get his or her words heard in a jungle of shouting voices. One voice might drown out and fade into nothingness, but if one persons voice and opinion could be shared with thousands, if not tens of thousands, hundred of thousands of people, then it might get noticed. Blogging is nothing that is static. It's a growing organism much thanks to collaboration and to the social networking that gets more and more influential every day.
So is blogging important? Indeed. It's more and more starting to take over the old traditional media as opinionbuilders, it's lightning-fast and it cross all boundaries, from North to the South, to the East and to the West.
