Not surprisingly, the hot topic in the Swedish blogoshere this week has been the resignation of the the Swedish Minister of Employment, Sven-Otto Littorin. The reason given for the resignation was because of a tough seperation and custody process, and because of being hunted by media in its wake, Littorin stated that personal issues was more important than his role as Minister of Employment. However, a few days later, it was revealed that the allegedly true reason behind his resignation came just the next morning after an evening newspaper found that Littorin purchased sex from a prositute. This has been strongly denied though, and the newspaper who came with the allegations have been sued. Could be damaging for the sitting government, considering that it's election year.

Apple's iPhone 4 haven't exactly got any hot reviews, except perhaps by the person who's iPhone 4 spontanously burst into flames and burned his hand (link). Influental organization The Consumer Reports (link) also gave the iPhone 4 the thumbs down and decided not to recommend the product. Apple in turn have offered every iPhone 4 owner a special case, a rubber "bumper", that should help with the antenna problems. Nevertheless, Apple have sold more than 3 million iPhone 4 units in 3 weeks.

Apparently, the first 6 months of this year have been the warmest year ever since they started to record the average temperature, and they predict that this whole year to be the warmest year ever. Well, could be nice after one of the hardest winters in a long time.

Continuing on, it appears like they've finally, after more than 3 months, sealed the oilleak that spewed oil out in the Mexican Gulf causing a yet fully known environmental damage.
